SHEPARD FAIREY’s PRINT MATTERS / SUBLIMINAL PROJECTS
I am still thoroughly sad I didn’t get to see Shepard Fairey’s exhibit in New York, so checking out some of his work at his gallery in Echo Park will have to do. Not to be unexpected, I waited in line for 45 minutes before being able to enter. It makes me ecstatic that one of my idols remembers me when he sees me but that also might be because I send him CDs and remixes. Don’t judge.
Someone needs to buy me the Keith Haring print. Please. I loved seeing his work as a kid and I’m great there’s been a resurgence of interest in his work, not that I think the love for it ever went away. But this print warms my heart and someone needs to warm my heart.
